Since 1987, Baton Rouge Green has planted over 25,000 trees in the Greater Baton Rouge Area, all with the help of volunteers like you. In 1999 alone, 400 local volunteers donated over 3,500 hours of their time and energy to making Baton Rouge a more beautiful place to live. Today's Baton Rouge Green volunteers are doing everything from potting up seedlings at our tree farm to adding the beauty of trees to area schools. Whatever the project, Baton Rouge Green needs volunteers to make it a success.

SCHOOL PLANTINGS: Assist public schools in tree planting program. Plantings are held on Friday mornings at a school.


GOLD STARS: Help get out special mailings and our quarterly newsletter, The Greensheet! A fun group activity. Visit with new or old friends and help BATON ROUGE GREEN.


PEN AND PALETTE: Experienced artists needed to help with hand lettering posters, photographing projects, and maintaining our scrapbook.


SPECIAL EVENTS: Are you willing to be on-call to represent BRG at special events, fairs, Earth Day, mini-fun(d) raisers, etc.


THE GO-GETTERS: Run errands, pick up supplies, and collect/distribute project signs, etc. Own transportation needed.


BALLOONS AND BANNERS: Help with special parties, seasonal activities, or decorate the office for committee coffees, luncheons, etc.


ON-GOING PROJECTS
GREAT OUTDOORS PEOPLE: Help maintain our Tree Farm on Fridays, between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm! Water, plant, prune, clean-up, beautify! Wear your jeans, get into nature!
